Family Nutrition Night At McKinley

On Tuesday February  ASEP's Health and Wellness program hosted the year's first Family Nutrition Night.   If you couldn't make it, there will be a couple more this school year. In fact, the next one is April - mark your calendars!

The evening began with delicious and healthy meal of pasta, chicken, and salad, provided by guess who? That's right - Linnell Williams, one of McKinley's dedicated parents. Afterwards, Community Health Specialist Jan McCullough led a presentation on the importance of healthy breakfast to our crowd of 32 people. She shared recipes, research, and other great resources, and also brought raffle prizes for several lucky families!

The entire group joined in on the discussion.

And everyone worked together to make dessert - a fresh fruit parfait!
